Please Share: Backyard burning season is now open in Sooke, and residents are reminded to check the SRN VAN ISLD venting index before burning. Burning on a GOOD venting day will ensure your smoke dissipates. Burning on a POOR day is not permitted within the Sewer Specified Area in Sooke (SSA). https://envistaweb.env.gov.bc.ca//fi/bulletin/venting.html Read the full regulations before you start to burn (pile size, distance requirements, sun up to sun down only, and always be present with a water source). https://sooke.ca/backyard-burning-season-opens-oct-1st-res/
