SOTD families, due to the new City of Regina mask requirements, our protocols have changed. As of Saturday, Nov 7 students will be required to wear a mask when ENTERING the building. Once they entered the training area for class, they may remove it for the remainder or their training. Directly after class is over, students will be required to wear their mask again. ... All visitors must wear a mask at all times. For Students.... MASK REQUIRED WHEN: - changing shoes - sanitizing - waiting for class inside the building - preparing to leave after class MASK OPTIONAL WHEN: - participating in class PLEASE be very clear with your child if you wish for them to continue wearing their mask during class. As always, we can’t thank our families enough for their cooperation and support. We clearly have one of the most amazing group of families on the planet!!! And of course, if you have any questions, feel free to touch base anytime!!
UPDATE - thank you to all of our families for the leads on computer gurus. We had a few people contact us and one of our amazing dads managed to start working on our issues already. So we are well on the way to getting things fixed (and by WE I mean HIM!!) Thank you again!! Hey folks. We are looking at doing an SOTD fundraiser but need to do a few tweaks to our website.... Do we have any one out there who is proficient with HTML coding for websites? It's not a huge job but would like to see what is would cost us. If you have some mad coding skills, or know someone who does, please let us know. See more
I don’t know this man, but feel for him so much. There is just something different about being a Martial Arts instructor. Whether it is seeing your little ones grow into strong, confident, wonderful members of the community, or seeing your adult students building their bodies and their minds! You definitely don’t do it for the money, the hours suck and it does take a toll on your body. But the students and family make it all worth while.... Letting go of a Martial Arts school is much like losing your family. Our SOTD family is so absolutely amazing. It becomes so much a part of your life it would indeed be absolutely heart breaking to have to leave it. I hope he is able to take time, regroup and we wish him all the best in this next leg of his journey!!
Just a reminder that the adjusted schedule and procedures start TONIGHT (Oct 28). If you did not receive the email with the details please let us know and we can get that to you.
It might seem a bit dramatic to some, but to many people, access to fitness has a huge impact on both their physical and mental health. And this is not just adults. Many do not realize the huge impact the lack of physical activity and structures has on our children and teens. So many of our families have said how much their children have changed since getting back to regular physical activity. And our adults too...the lack of motivation that sets in when you don’t have a cla...ss or a place to go to work out is terrible. And unfortunately it leads to many other unwanted habits and emotions. Not everyone has the means to participate in online classes - and let’s face it - online is just not the same! People need that motivation, structure and sense of community that they get from their Martial Arts School, gym, dance school, gymnastics center and so much more!! https://thepostmillennial.com/lives-are-on-the-line-says-on
Hey everyone! Please help save the gyms including SOTD!!! Please scroll down this article and vote YES, that gyms and fitness centers are essential to our society. We need to make people understand the importance of physical activity on both our physical and mental health. Gyms are not the problem with spreading the virus. We are going above and beyond to keep our clients safe. The gyms, Martial Arts, dance and gymnastic centres are not spreading the virus they are prevent...ing the spiral of mental health in so many adults and children. Please help us have our voices heard. https://regina.ctvnews.ca/mobile/
