Made this special surprise delivery this morning. The recipient of this packet of bracelets for her & her siblings thought I was showing up to collect a bracelet for restringing. Unbeknownst to her, her daughter who cannot travel home (she's in Oz) Sent me a special request to make a bracelet for her mom representing her & her siblings.... There has been tough medical stuff in the family this year and her siblings have been there for her 100%. What happened in the process was the creation of identifying bracelets for each sibling. Recognizing their amazing attributes. Her mom getting the bracelet with all the sibling stones in it. Not gonna lie. This beautiful, nurturing vibed mala was delivered to its new owner last night. . . I had to learn a double knotting technique to keep all those rosewood beads from slipping. Thin guage string + bigger holes on wood & Hematite beads = challenge accepted! .... . After trying to figure it out on my own, I was SO grateful for the expertise of Vania at @rainbowminerals on Tuesday. Her quick advice gave me the missing puzzle piece to my efforts, et Voila! Say hello to the newest addition to my personal collection.... . . Yin & Yang represented here... Not only with the symbol, but also the dance between light & dark stones. .... . I'm not normally one to make malas without a tassel. However, I've had this little piece of Astrophyllite in my collection for a while. The vision for this mala came to me in the wee hours of the morning and I just had to make it!! . . I also hand knotted this one without pliers. For those that know me, I typically use a small pair of pliers to help me when knotting.... Not this time! I kinda liked the added emphasis on mindfulness by free handing it . .
