Hey there #firstresponderfamilies I wanted to check in and see how YOU are all doing? Are you ok? Are you anxious? are you scared ? These are some crazy time we are going through it seems out of a movie . But for us it feels even different because our loved ones can’t be home with us , they are on the front lines serving the community and helping selflessly . We are PROUD but we are also concerned . It’s hard. It’s hard holding down the fort alone . It’s hard to not panick. I...t’s hard to not worry they are going to get sick or bring it into the house when they come home . SO how are you ? Ok so I’ll admit I am little panicked about #COV19 as most of use first responder wives because our loved ones will be exposed to it , but I feel prepared and realized all we can do is take precaution wash our hands clean our stuff , and make smart choices. I’m disgusted at the people acting so savage only thinking about themselves hoarding supplies leaving none for others, the I won’t die if I get it , it’s just a flu mentality what about the elderly ?... your grandma or ...grandpa ? ... what about the people going through cancer treatment with compromised immune systems?... what about that newborn baby? what happens if our hospitals are so full we can’t treat a kid that broke their leg , or a person who had a heart attack . There is a bigger picture here . So let’s just buckle down do what we need to do and work together . I am grateful for all the nurses , doctors and first responders who are risking their own health & their families by being exposed everyday... WHY? to help others SELFLESSLY. Thank you & be safe . Saving cats in trees ... that’s all they do right ??? ALOT of people think firefighters just fight fires and save cats in trees ... they don’t realize they are First responders , first on scene to medical calls , car accidents , and yes fires and the occasional cat maybe . She isn’t afraid of spending time alone... she can’t be scared of nights alone she has to hold down the fort.... 3. She rocks being a solo parent (or dog mom) 4. Everything is scheduled around his schedule ... Holidays, events, and days off are scheduled around shift days, Union meetings , special events , training days . Firefighters couldn’t do what they do without their spouses.
