Sorry, but I've had to cancel the Lunch N Learn due to technical difficulties.
To grow your business, you need to grow yourself. Join me at BCIT, Burnaby, on Tuesday, October 29th, from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM for a day that can take your leadership to the next level. Bring your team and grow together! https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/live2lead-with-john-c-maxwell-b
It's been a great week for Soul Impact, my coaching, speaking and training business certified by the John Maxwell Team. Spoke at BOTH a Rotary and a Kiwanis Club, did some networking, met with coaching clients, and spoke with several people about providing coaching and training in the next couple of months. And, my first MasterMind groups launch next Monday, on 15 Laws of Growth. Loving this!
It's been said that the two most important days in your life are the day you're born and the day you understand why. Soul Impact is all about helping you to know why you were created, and what you need to do to become all you are intended to be. I first met John Maxwell in 1988 at a leadership conference. He revolutionized my life in more ways than I can count. Over the last couple of years, I have been able to renew that connection, so that I am now a certified member of the greatest leadership network in the world, the John Maxwell Team. I have the privilege of coaching and training individuals, businesses, churches and organizations, helping them to develop to their full potential. I am also certified trainer in the DISC method of behavioural analysis. Is there a way I can serve you or your organization? Please get in touch!
My John Maxwell Team website is live today. Please check it out! https://www.johncmaxwellgroup.com/philroutly
What a great time we had at the International Maxwell Certification event in Orlando! I am now certified for coaching, training, speaking and leading with the John Maxwell Team. And... we concluded our time with a week on the Oasis of the Seas, visiting Haiti, Jamaica, and Cozumel.
After 12 Task Force meetings, 6 church visits, a proposal full out, and 3 town hall meetings, the membership approved a challenging and inspirational Vision Statement that we believe is God's vision for Sherbrooke Mennonite Church: We are here to know Jesus and to make Jesus known by all. Now, comes the hard work: how do we fulfill God's vision?
After three months of study, discussion, prayer and church visits, this morning the Vision Task Force of Sherbrooke Mennonite Church shared our findings with the congregation, for further discernment. "We are here to know Jesus and to make Him known by all." Does it need to be tweaked? Or does it pretty much summarize the Great Commission, the Great Commandment, Jesus' final instructions in Acts 1:8, and the description of the early church in Acts 2:42-47? I'd be very interested in your thoughts and comments. Thanks!
So, it's now 5 months since I arrived at Sherbrooke Mennonite Church, as their Transitional Pastor. Last Sunday, my message was a "State of the Church" address, and focused on some of the big decisions that have to be made, and the impact they will make on the future of the church. You can listen to it at http://sherbrookemennonite.org/sermons/state-of-the-church/ and even view the PowerPoint slides as you listen. All the previous messages, mostly on the book of Ephesians, are there, too. Enjoy, and hopefully, be blessed!
In July, 2017, I met with the leadership of Sherbrooke Mennonite Church, in South Vancouver. They were inviting me to come on board as their Transitional Pastor. The next day, I met with Jeff Bucknam, Lead Pastor at Northview Community Church, in Abbotsford, BC, to record a podcast for their Extra series. Check it out here!
