The Torah Meditation of this week is: TOLDOT. It’s about our forefathers Abraham and Isaac who were a-like both physically and spiritually. it goes on to teach us that sometime the children follow in their parents footsteps and sometime they do not. Parents must educate and raise their children according to the way he should go; to provide them with knowledge and understanding, train them , infuse them with values and parents are role models... the children must be willing to learn, appreciate the values of their parents, and work on following them... parents are sometime ashamed and embarrassed by their children and children are sometime ashamed and embarrassed of their parents. even as we are proud of our noble ancestory... we owe it to our children to make them proud of us......

This week's Torah Wisdom is Chaye Sarah. Sarah lived to be 100 and 20 and 7. The Torah goes on to explain. Why doesn't it say . Sarah lived to be 127? Torah ...teaches us that Sarah lived every day of her life as if she were all 3 ages at one time. Sarah was like a 7 year old, pure, childlike, innocent, joyous. Sarah also at the same time lived every day of her life as if she were 20 years old. Prime of her life, ambitious, beautiful, confident, and strong. And finally 100 years old where she is wise, solvent, comfortable, secure. Sarah sets an amazing example to all of us to enjoy every stage of our life and to seize every G-DLY moment to the fullest! Vayeira: is our Wisdom of the week which teaches us to persue Truth and Goodness. We are not satisfied with a minimum of our physical needs, why should we be satisfied with a minimum of spiritual ones? Run, don't walk to do a good deed. Do it with Joy and Eagerness! Very often we view duties and obligations as burdens, they interfere with our own plans and desires, even when we recognize their importance, we try to get away from our legal obligation. Good deeds are not just a means to an end... they are ends in themselves...www.soulmates.net
