Welcome to 2021! I'm pretty sure everyone is ready for a fresh start! It's a great time to reflect, recharge and move forward. While I know that 2020 was challenging at times for many, I'm planning on bringing some good things from it into this new year. Wishing everyone all the best for 2021! Go find your sparkle!

Wishing all of my Kinesiology Kinfolk the best for this holiday season and beyond. I know it's not been an easy year for many, and the future remains a little uncertain, but we can continue with the basics. Be Kind. Eat Well. Move your Body.

Remember the "Why". This has been a different year to say the least. As I was investing in myself this morning (completing both my workout and rehab at the same time!), I reminded myself to remember the "why". Why I chose to be a Kinesiologist. Most days it's not hard, but this year has thrown us all some curve balls. My Kinesiology practice looks different. My focus has changed and shifted as required in all areas of my work. But really, the "why" hasn't changed. I c...ontinue to be fascinated by the human body, and also passionate about helping people. And my belief in the benefits of moving more and living better has not wavered. In a world where health and wellness are top priority and no longer something to take for granted, getting people moving is always going to be the right thing to do. In whatever capacity that means! It's National Kinesiology Week, and it couldn't be a better time to reflect and focus on the basics of health and wellness. Move well. Eat well. Sleep well. Live better. I still know my "Why" #nationalkinesiologyweek #soundbodyrehab #healthsquad

How tired are you? Do you have trouble getting to sleep? Do you have thoughts racing through your mind as soon as your head hits the pillow?... Do you constantly wonder how some people can actually let go of their day and sleep? Do you wake up refreshed in the morning, or are you counting down the hours until you can get back into bed? Lack of sleep is associated with a whole host of adverse health conditions, it robs physical performance, mental performance, and feelings of wellbeing. Despite everything that we know is wrong about not getting enough sleep, it’s still INCREDIBLY common: 55% of women and 45% of men report trouble getting to or staying sleep Only 55% of people report feeling refreshed after sleep 40% of Canadians are sleeping less than 7 hours per night James Loveday-Wight, RMT, BSc.Kin. is here to help! Join him for a 4-week series leading into the holidays to learn: Breathing techniques to facilitate sleep Before-bed mobility techniques to release the day Sleep hygiene strategies How to use the hot oat bag and racquet balls that are provided to release the days tension Space is limited, so jump on this opportunity early!
