I just finished teaching a 1st year undergraduate course at Acadia University on Public Safety and Community Development. The students did various research projects and I had a few research firefighter related topics. Next week I am going to showcase some of the knowledge dissemination products they created based on their research! Stay tuned :)

This is a presentation I did for my PhD supervisor's occupational therapy class on attending to the mental health needs of volunteer firefighters! I figured I would share here on Sound the Siren. This is really geared to speaking to mental health professionals who would not have a lot of knowledge about volunteer firefighters. There are some preliminary findings in here from both the After the Alarm and Sound the Siren studies! #mentalhealth #volunteerfirefighters
