Sound Waves with Susan on CKOL

This is my last week at CKOL Radio. It’s been an amazing three years. I signed up with CKOL when my husband and I became full-time Trent Hills residents in 2014. I thought it would be a fun thing to do and a great way to meet some folks. It was that and more. I’ve met some amazing people. CKOL’s founder for one, Dave Lockwood, a man who not only brought his vision of community radio in Trent Hills to life but has worked tirelessly to sustain it for 25 years. May you alw...ays think like Disney, Dave. The CKOL team is as diverse a cast of characters as one could ever hope to meet, all dedicated to serving their segment of the listening market. Great working with you all. I’ve met countless musicians, many of whom have joined me in studio or taken the time to chat after live performances. I’ve shared the microphone with community representatives to help spread the word about their events, business initiatives, fundraisers and causes. I’ve attended events I would otherwise never have attended and been blown away by the wealth of Canadian musical talent I may never have heard. I’ve had the pleasure of hosting engaging weekly chats with Constable Steve Bates of the Northumberland OPP and Muriel Godden of the Campbellford & District Horticultural Society. Community service at its best. Wonderful working with both of you. Thanks to everyone for the memories and, of course, for listening!
