Tonight a group of generous women dedicated their time and funds to cook up some gorgeous soup. After 2 years of not being able to hold "live" soup events, we were BACK! It was heart warming to hear the sound of community in the kitchen at Relish Cooking Studio. Our shelters Oneroof Youth Services, Monica Place for Pregnant and Parenting Youth, Marillac Place, and Anselma House will love getting freshly made 'homemade' soup.... FYI- During the pandemic, Soup Sisters continued to make soup in a commercial facility in Calgary - and through the generosity of Versa Cold Logistics (a cold storage trucking company) soup was transported across Canada free of charge! #soupsisterskw #soupitforward #huginabowl
KW Soup Sisters is thrilled and honoured to receive the support of Enbridge through their Fueling Futures program! They have been faithful supporters of KW Soup Sisters for many years. The smiling Enbridge team would show up to make soup on an annual basis. Despite the fact that 'real time' events could not resume this fall, this group has continued their support for through the gift of this grant! THANK YOU ENBRIDGE GAS, once again! #ENBFuelingFutures Grateful,... KW Soup Sisters See more
Imagine that with every SHARE another warm and comforting bowl of soup will be delivered to someone in need. Help us to ‘keep the soup flowing’.
We had a wonderful group of women who joined us to produce a bounty of delicious soup for oneROOF and Marillac Place. They happily chopped their way to 80 litres of soup. They made 2 pots of the favourite "Hamburger Soup", a pot of "Potato Cheddar" and a pot of "Chicken Wild Rice." Thank you to all! #soupitforward #huginabowl #marillacplace #oneroof #soupsisters #soupsisterskw
Cook up a batch of your favourite soup and deliver it someone who could use some warmth and kindness in their life. It’s as simple as that
Thank you so much to everyone that came out to help make soup last night!! We had a lovely group of Soup Sisters and Broth Brothers from The Womans Crisis Service's. The CEO, Senior Management and Board of Directors rolled up their sleeves to make some delicious soup for Anselma House. The second team was comprised of four Waterloo Region District school board staff from the research department. In total they made close to 80L of nutritious soup!!
Rotarians came out tonight and with great enthusiasm created 82.5 litres of delicious soup. We made: Chicken Veggie, Hamburger, Minestrone and a rich Broccoli Cheddar Soup. Donna Marie gave a terrific knife skills lesson! Thanks to both Tammy (Marillac Place) and Melissa (One Roof) for telling us more about the two shelters receiving soup this month.
Waterloo Catholic School Board did an amazing job of creating over 75 litres of nutritious soup for Anselma House! They did it with a smile on their face and with incredible team spirit. We thank them for their joy!!
