Good Evening Miami, Here is a Library update! Yaaaay! You may have heard the good news already, South Central branches are allowed to open our doors to the public starting Tuesday, February 16! Miami branch hours will be staying the same as our Holds pick-up hours (see poster for open hours at the other branches) Masks will be required to enter the facility and you will be requested to sanitize your hands at the door. Due to social distancing rules, we are limited to 10 pat...rons or 2 families in the facility at one time so you may be asked to wait until there is room for you to enter. We will also be participating in contact tracing so pleased be prepared to share your information with us. Contactless pick-up will still be available for those who prefer it. We are so looking forward to seeing our awesome patrons in person again!! All branches of South Central will be closed this Saturday for Louis Riel Day long weekend, back to regular (and open to the public!) hours on Tuesday. Ready for more Safe at Home activities? Good Morning Miami, Here is a Library update! Staff will be here 10:00 - 5:00 today and tomorrow (Tuesday and Wednesday) for Holds pickup appointments. Holiday Hours kick in again on Thursday with open hours from 9:30-1:30, then we are closed until Tuesday, January 5th, so make sure to stop by for some free holiday entertainment before then! Don't forget you can request craft kits, our new DVD bundles, and story kits! There are also a ton of new titles on the shelves, don't hesitate to ask if you aren't sure what is out there! Good Morning Miami, Here is a Library update! I am just finishing off the last of my vacation days for the year and have gotten a bit behind in posting! The Library is open today for hold pick up appointments until 5:00, please feel free to contact us by phone, email, or private message to book a time! We will be starting holiday hours tomorrow (see poster for more details)... Staff has been busy in the background processing even more new books! Keep an eye on this page for an updated list soon! If you are looking for free holiday entertainment consider checking out one of our awesome new DVD bundles! Bundles come with a 3 week checkout instead of 2 weeks (normal DVD checkout time) We have put together 7 different family and kid friendly movie bundles for you to choose from. Each bundle includes 10 DVDs. These bundles have been handpicked with all of our patrons in mind for the holidays!! Bundles are on a first contact first served basis. Good Afternoon Miami, Here is another Library update! Help South Central support our local Christmas Cheer Board and get rid of pesky late fees at the same time! Miami Branch will be collecting late fees for Miami Christmas Cheer Board. Any fees paid in Miami during the week of November 25th to December 2nd will be donated directly to Miami Christmas Cheer! (Normally you were also able to exchange donated food items for fees but unfortunately this year we will not be collecti...ng food, only cash.) If you are not sure if you have late fees to pay off, you can find out by logging into your account from home or by contacting any branch by phone, email, or facebook message. Put your cash in an envelope or ziplock bag with a note indicating your name or library card number, then deposit in our after hours book return. Your fees will be deleted and the money will be sent to Christmas Cheer. If you are interested in supporting but are lucky enough not to have late fees, you may still donate by putting money in an envelope and depositing it in our after-hours book return. Please indicate that it is a Donation and who it is from! Thank you in advance for your generosity Miami!

Miami Remembers

Good Morning Miami, Here is a Library update! All branches of South Central Regional Library are currently closed to the public due to Code Red restrictions. Patrons may still place holds on items by logging into their account from home, or by phone, email, or private facebook message. When your hold is ready we will schedule a pick up time. Your books will be checked out on your account and put in a bin outside the Library door for contactless pickup. Staff will be available... for this service during regular open hours. Please feel free to contact me at the library if you have any questions! Thank you so much to the people who have taken the time to bring in items for the Remembrance Day display! I hope you can feel the love and pride of your community! I was not planning on putting the entire display online but due to the incredible interest, and the fact that we are currently closed, I will try to publish the whole thing this year. I will be putting up a few posts today as I get the scans completed. If you are interested in adding to our display or if you have more information or photos about anyone already featured please don't hesitate about sending items in. You may email or private message digital copies of your photos and information. If you don't have much information and are interested in finding more I may be able to help with research. If you do not have digital copies you may bring items in once we reopen to the public. We will save them an add them to our display next year. The Miami Remembers display started in 2012 (see photos) at the original Frye's location and was the brainchild of Peggy Lesniewski. It has grown immensely over the years and has become an important tradition in our branch. Thank you again. Enjoy your day Miami!

Good Afternoon Miami, Here is a Library update. Unfortunately due to the new Code Red situation Miami Branch will be closed to the public starting Tuesday, November 10. Holds pickup by appointment will still be available as are all our online options. We are allowed to be open tomorrow (Saturday November 6) from 10:00 - 2:00 so make sure you come in for a good browse and pick up some great reads, it might be the last chance for a while! Staff will still be working in branch ...and will be available to help find books and answer questions by phone, email, or private message. You may also place holds from home by logging into our webpage (log in link is at top right of page) https://scrl.mb.libraries.coop/ If you do not know your library card number or password please don't hesitate to contact us.
