94 degrees in Minnesota today, ugh! After 35 years of summers on a lake in Canada, we now know what it's like down here. We can relate with the muskox who move further north when it warms past 32 degrees...GET US NORTH!

Well it’s officially summer now but, for the first time since we bought SSL in 1984, something is missing...YOU, YOU, and ME

Getting desperate! Anybody have any walleye in the freezer from South Shore Lodge last summer?! Remembering the "good 'ol days" at shore lunch... mmmmm. We'll do it again, promise!

After spending the last 3 months quarantined and waiting to get back to South Shore lodge, Jim decided to go horseback riding (something he hasn’t done in YEARS). It turned out to be a horrible mistake! He got on the horse and started out slowly, but then went a little faster and before he knew it, he was going as fast as the horse could go. He couldn't take the pace and fell off and caught his foot in the saddle stirrup, the horse was then dragging him along. The horse just would NOT stop!! Thankfully, the manager at Walmart came out and unplugged the machine. He actually had the nerve to take the rest of his coins too so he wouldn't try to ride the elephant! Have a great day :-)

Still on hold as to what the government is going to do about opening the border, but we're moving ahead with getting ready with supplies and projects...current project is making new picnic tables for the cabins!
