POSTPONED DUE TO COVID RESTRICTIONS Due to the extension of provincial health regulations as announced on Friday, Jan 5th, the SCSA cannot proceed with our annual AGM. The current lockdown is in effect indefinitely, however, the concern is Super Bowl parties and Valentines day and the province will review at the end of the month. If Covid cases continue to go down there may be a lifting of restrictions and once we are allowed to hold our meeting you will receive an email with a new date for the AGM. Please reach out by phone to any friends and acquaintances that are members and let them know. ***AGM*** PROPOSED CHANGES TO SCSA BYLAWS AT AGM Feb. 10th at 6:00 pm HUB Gym... The current directors of the South Cariboo Sportsmen Association are recommending two changes to the current Bylaws to be presented and voted upon at the AGM Meeting February 10th.The proposed changes are as follows: 1. Membership: a. To change "There shall be two classes of membership "Annual" and Honorary" to "There will now be two types of memberships - Voting and Non-Voting memberships. Voting members will reside within the geographic areas of the South Cariboo Sportsmen Association’s facilities Ashcroft, Cache Creek, Spences Bridge, Lytton, Loon Lake, Savona, Logan Lake and Clinton. Non-voting members shall be any member that resides outside of the voting area". 2. Fees and dues: To change "The annual fees and dues shall be set by a vote at annual meetings" to include "Membership annual fee’s effective for 2021 and beyond upon filing with Register of Companies for B.C. will now be $70.00 for a Single membership, and $90.00 for a Family membership (defined as husband, wife/spouse/partner and not more than 2 children under the age of 18 residing at the same address as the parents), and a deposit of $10.00 for (1) gate key. Additional keys for Family membership will be $10.00 per key". All positions on the executive will be voted upon. Please come out and support your club. Volunteer for a position, or just come cast your vote and meet the executive. Have your voice heard. Lots of exciting things in store in 2021.
