So proud of Davis and Shaver Echo for their performance in the 4-H and Open Beef Show at the Orangeville Fall Fair today.
We are sad to report that Dr. Donald McQueen Shaver, founder of the Shaver Lincoln Red herd and the composite Shaver Beefblend cattle, passed away this weekend. We have cherished his friendship and mentorship for over 20 years now. He will be missed. https://www.dignitymemorial.com//cam/donald-shaver-7946335
Thanks to everyone who traveled from far away for the Annual NARLA meeting that we hosted at our farm on Saturday. It’s so nice to meet with old friends and new ones. It’s obvious that there is a lot of cattle knowledge within our association.
So proud of Davis for winning reserve champion in novice showmanship at the International Plowing Match 4-H Invitational. They also placed fourth in the breeding heifer class. This weekend Davis and Shaver Delphine are off to the Erin Fall Fair for their last show of the season.

So proud of Davis and Shaver Delphine. They are competing in their first show today.
With help from his sister, Davis is out washing his 4-H heifer, Shaver Delphine for their first show next weekend.
Not a bad way to start the calving season...twin heifers from the RLR Teal line!
