Remembrance Day. Reflecting on the sacrifice of Canadians in war. But also on those of Viet Nam, both soldiers and civilians, who perished by the millions in th...e American war. Got to the Bn Dc Memorial Temple in Cu Chi a few years back. A memorial to more than 44,000 martyrs in the region - including mothers, whose names are displayed in tier upon tier along three long walls. Names tended by those maintaining the candles.

Our Vietnamese performers are presenting a number based on a Tagalog song- Nahan by Ernani Cuenco- from the rich Kundiman repertoire of the Philippines to raise awareness of Pinoy culture and fundraise to help those hit the hardest by the recent typhoon Rolly.
