How about Stuffed French Toast with pecan cream cheese and bourbon whipped cream at Captain Robert's Table or traditional Eggs Benedict with three perfectly poached eggs and creamy hollandaise sauce? Or, have you tried the cheesy Ale and Onion soup at Flynn's Irish Pub or their half-priced wings every Wednesday? There's nothing like the Vegan Mediterranean Tofu Sandwich at Café Kittyhawk topped with tapenade hummus, roasted veggies and herbed vegan cheese, or their Tropical Chicken Sammie - this bad boy has BBQ pulled chicken, grilled pineapple, caramelized red onion and is served on fresh sourdough! DID YOU KNOW that Tom Barber Jr. is the third generation of his family to run Barber & Haskill? Dating back to 1939 when Les Barber and George Haskill began their partnership and opened the first store, and continuing with the stewardship of Tom Barber Sr. until he, in turn, sold the business to Tom Jr. in 2003, Barber & Haskill has thrived as a successful retailer of appliances and sleep products. In this 1958 photo, thanks to Huronia Museum and Huron Ouendat Village: "Happiest woman in town, as the cooking school sponsored by Dominion Stores Ltd. and Barber and Haskill ended last week, was Mrs. Frank Bath, now the proud owner of the brand new electric-stove pictured above".
