It's been nine months since my first video of the Ukemi-no-kata was posted, and in that time more than 10,000 people have viewed it, with many people sharing th...e video and posting favorable comments. I'm very grateful, and it's been a lot of fun watching the video spread around the world. I’m especially grateful to Maren Sensei, my instructor, for his help and encouragement with continuing to work on the kata. The concept of good enough is kind of anathema in our tradition, and this new version of the video reflects some improvements but it won't be the final version. As an aside, I'll be 60 years old in January. Being able to do, physically, what I want to do not just in the dj but elsewhere in life is one of the primary benefits of training in aikijutsu.
