Our leagues practice in Indus and Airdrie, and we have so much fun skating and learning how to play roller derby, and it's a great sport for young people of all ages to start.

Ahem, is this thing on? We updated our website tonight....we are getting ready to get skating again! There are some new guidelines, and new details, and even a new location/day for our level 3's. We can't wait to see our returning skaters and our new ones too. www.sajrd.ca

Statement from our league: We would like to thank our participants and families for their patience and support as we navigate through the guidelines and recommendations of AHS and JRDA. Please know we want to proceed safely for everyone and we are working with our rental facilities on how best to proceed and move ahead. We recognize that we have been slow releasing information. We have been waiting, like many of you, for information from our school boards on re-entry and s...tart-up. We do want to be doing our sport again, it’s just tricky to get all the pieces in place, especially as we are by nature a sport that doesn’t allow for social distancing and we are a junior league; our skaters first priority is getting back to school rolling before we get back to skating. Our goal is to start up after Thanksgiving but this will be dependent on our schools district moving forward with their re-entry and the active cases within Calgary and Rockyview staying relatively low or balanced. We miss our skaters, and their families. We miss derby. At this moment, we do not know what start up will look like as the Covid-19 situation and status in Alberta, specifically in the greater Calgary area, is constantly evolving. But we are committed to doing the best for our skaters and their families. For RIGHT NOW, that means we are going to need to consider a slower re-entry.
