Due to old age, sickness, death, relocation, graduation, etc. the band had dwindled to less than a handful a year ago. We were hopeful that some new blood would miraculously appear to take over and revive that South Fraser Pipes & Drums. Unfortunately, nothing has worked out. The few remaining members have decided it's best if we sell our kit and donate to a few worth while causes in the lower mainland. Enjoyed some terrific stories today about the life of our dear fellow piper, Bob Gillies. The pipe tunes would have thrilled him!

So sad to say farewell to a great guy, Bob Gillies. He was such a kind, helpful, level headed band member! He will be held in my memory for my lifetime.
