Looking to get tested for COVID-19? Please note that due to a surge in volumes for COVID-19 testing, Assessment Centres are now prioritizing testing for people who have: - COVID-19 symptoms - Been referred by Public Health due to close contact with a confirmed case - Been referred by a health care professional or need to meet Ministry guidelines... Locations of local Assessment Centres can be found here: https://www.hpph.ca//covid-19-testing-tracing-and-results.
Earlier in the summer we shared that our front gardens were getting a much needed makeover. We are happy to share that they are still going strong and wanted to send a heartfelt thank you out to: South Huron Hospital Foundation for the funds to purchase all of the flowers, Goldcoast Landscaping Inc in Bayfield for donating the mulch and potting soil mix, GREYHAVEN GARDENS in Londesborough for donating the large cement planters, and of course to our special staff gardeners once again for all of their hard work and dedication.
A great resource! "Back to School - Mental Health Kit" https://cmho.org/back-to-school/
A heartfelt thank you to Hensall Senior Citizens Homes Inc. for reaching out and asking what the South Huron Hospital s needs are, as we move through this time. In memory of Mrs. Lillian Beer, a former nurse of SHHA, they made a donation to purchase disposable gowns for our front-line staff. As Personal Protective Equipment is of great need currently, this method of writing a cheque with a PPE memo on the cheque helps SHHA purchase what PPE is most required at the time. Thank you once again to our community for your ongoing support and to Hensall Senior Citizens Homes Inc.

Remember, you dont have to be together physically, to be a Team. Parkinson Society Southwestern Ontario is a not for profit organization with the mission of enhancing the lives of anyone touched by Parkinsons Disease. Due to COVID-19, weve had to modify our annual fundraiser walk, Walk-it for Parkinsons. This event has been a huge success in past years, and together, individuals, teams, and corporate sponsors raised $467,000 at Walk-It in 2019.... This year, we have turned this event into WALK the BLOCK for Parkinsons, which allows us to walk within the communities we serve while practicing social distancing. Participants will fundraiser and connect virtually as they walk in their own communities, homes, or backyards on September 12th and 13th, 2020. Although we will be walking separately, well all be together in heart! We are inviting you to partake in this event and join us in spreading the word so we can continue our support programs, outreach, and funding of research. Here are a few ways you might consider getting involved in WALK the BLOCK for Parkinsons: 1. Spread the word Reach out to your community to let them know about WALK the BLOCK for Parkinsons! Share one of our attached promotional graphics on social media, include us in your next newsletter or add it on your website 2. Join us Register individually or as a team at ww.walktheblock.ca to walk with us! On September 12th or 13, walk your block to help raise money and awareness for Parkinsons Disease 3. Donate Please consider being a sponsor or making a donation to support theParkinsons community. Donate today at https://parkinsonsociety.ca/ We appreciate your support in keeping our communities connected during these unprecedented times. We recognize the challenges that Covid-19 poses for businesses and workers alike and we thank you for your consideration of support. I look forward to connecting. What a beautiful day to celebrate together with our SHHA All-Staff BBQ, sponsored by the Board of Governors, to say "thank you" to staff and volunteers for the service and quality care provided to the South Huron Community. We were treated to Clara Stegalls musical performance while we BBQd and ate together. She was fantastic! Thank you to all Board volunteers and Leaders that made sure this was a great event to enjoy!
The Ontario government has developed a fact sheet with more information and is encouraging all Ontarians to download this app. For more information, visit Ontario.ca/covidalert.

The University of Western Ontario is conducting a survey-based study (Project ID: 115827) exploring if health behaviours during the COVID-19 physical distancing mandate could predict future health behaviours, overall wellbeing, and the incidence of chronic disease development. This could provide future health promotion programs with relevant information to guide program planning. The target population is Ontario residents aged 30-59 and the survey takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. https://uwo.eu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_01bptl1wZAymYfz
Amazing memories! Thank you for posting this to the Exeter page, Beverley!
