Starting tomorrow, Thursday, January 14, 2021 at 12:01 a.m., the Ontario government will issue a "stay-at-home" order requiring everyone to stay at home with exceptions for going to the grocery store or pharmacy, accessing health care services or for work where the work cannot be done remotely. This does not affect the care you receive at our Family Health Team as WE WILL REMAIN OPEN. Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, the raise in positive COVID-19 cases and the second wave, the Ministry of Health (MOH) has asked us to maximize virtual visits as much as possible. This is to ensure the safety of our patients, staff and healthcare workers as recommended by the MOH and Public Health. Our clinic is offering phone and virtual care first and, if needed, patients will be brought into the office for an in-person visit. If the issue is urgent, you will be offered an urgent virtual/phone appointment in Urgent Care and guided on next steps after the assessment.

Newmarket Site: Our flu vaccines have arrived! Our team has set dedicated clinics for our high-risk patients and have given priority to immunized this population first. However, we do have limited clinics for our regular flu shots (for patients who are not high risk). This year, our team will be running the flu clinics a little bit different than previous years: 1) our flu clinics will held out of our FHT Boardroom (for day clinics) and the 6th floor Lecture Hall in our Medic...al Arts Building (for evening clinics); and 2) our team will be taking COVID precautions such as limiting the number of people at our clinics, requiring masks or face coverings for both staff and patients, and regularly disinfecting high-traffic and high touched areas. For safety measures, OUR FLU CLINICS WILL BE BY APPOINTMENTS ONLY. For patients over 65 years old who are registered on HealthMyself, please log onto HealthMyself and book your appointment online. For patients who are not registered on HealthMyself, please call our office at 905-853-3103 and speak to a staff member to book an appointment. For patients who require standard/regular dose, please call our office at 905-853-3103 to schedule an appointment. Our vaccine inventory is limited. Flu clinics may be full by the time you book an appointment. Please check our website, this social media page and phone greeting option #6 often for new flu clinic dates and times. Let’s all do our part to reduce the risk of illness this flu season.

Effective October 6, 2020, the Newmarket Urgent Care Clinic (evenings 5-8 PM and Saturday 9AM -12 PM) will transition to virtual appointments only.
