Turn up the Heat on Frosty Feet and ensure Londoners in need have warm toes this winter! The Covid-19 pandemic has been particularly challenging for London residents in need. Neighbourhood Resource Centres are facing a significant increase in requests for support with basic needs, with one of the most requested items being winter boots. Everyone in London should have warm, dry feet. The residents of South London are no exception. ... With your support South London Neighbourhood Resource Centre will fit 50 low income residents with new, warm, winter boots. $50 Warms 10 Toes (1 pair of boots) $100 Doubles the Down (2 pairs of boots) $150 Toasts A Trio (3 pairs of boots) Thank you for your warmth and generosity. Together we can TURN UP THE HEAT ON FROSTY FEET! Note: This campaign stands in place of the boot collection drive of years past due to the effects and considerations associated with Covid19. We are unable to accept donations of second hand boots at this time, but gift cards to stores that sell boots are most welcome! Eida Wa Piroze Be Happy Holidays to all the Yazidi Residents at South London. To many different cultures, December is the month of festive celebrations. Our Yazidi community has just ended a 3-day fasting from 15-17th, and today is the celebration day. Looking back on the year we have gone through, the sharing of joy and happiness is always welcomed. While we may celebrate December in diversified ways, "there is nothing in the world so irresistibly contagious as laughter and good humor.

During the March lockdown, our main site had to close as part of London's COVID-19 response strategy. Thankfully, with the support from United Way Elgin Middlesex and community partners, we were thus able to quickly adapt to the new normal, continuing to support our residents when they needed us more than ever. Food keeps our community interconnected in this unprecedented time.
