A word of Covid 19 Advice for Caregivers : Presently caregivers or accompanying a persons to their appointment at the Charles Lemoyne Hospital need permission to go inside and you could be refused entrance. Therefore its strongly advised that you arrive for the appointment with the person least 30 mins before. When at the entrance station ask the guard to call the department you have your appointment with. Its suggested to bring your cell phoneto call You then call the ...hospital Number 450-466-5000 and press 0 to speak with the Caregiver operator. From here they will connect you to the department that you have the appointment with. If the person cannot make it to appointment on their own, ask that someone come to bring them to appointment and back You can wait in the lobby / Or if necessary you can ask that you accompany the person to the appointment Its only with this permission you can accompany the person inside to the hospital and to their appointment Most Often you are allowed in to accompany the person ,However it remains very important to ask before to avoid confusion and problems at the desk. Too often people just show up and expect to accompany their loved oneonly to be told they cannot accompany someone. But Yes, you can providing you ask in advance http://www.santemonteregie.qc.ca//installations/hopital-ch See more

Today, I had the privilege of welcoming students into Access for the new PAB program for CHSLDs. I had no idea who to expect and was thrilled to meet 17 of 49 ...students for their first day. I was so happy by their enthusiasm to want to help and improve Quebec elders quality of life. I feel truly blessed to be a part of something that will contribute to the health and wellbeing of our vulnerable elderly. I have to tell you that the CISSS did a good job choosing the candidates. They all exude compassion, maturity and want to be part of the solution. I think this is a good start to fixing our broken health care system. See more
