South Shore Pharmacy is seeking a pharmacy assistant to work full-time in a friendly community pharmacy setting. Responsibilities will include filling prescriptions, using pharmacy software, compounding, compliance packaging, inventory management and cash. Some evening and weekend shifts will be required. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be friendly, empathetic and customer service oriented. Accuracy and patient confidentiality are required. Please make sure you are on the provincial registry if you do not have a family physician! You can register online or by calling 1-855-563-2101. You are now able to choose Crapaud as the preferred location for your medical care. If you previously registered and you did not have the option to choose Crapaud, we encourage you to update your registration. Dr. Visser's former patients who are currently seeing the nurse practitioners in Crapaud and Cornwall should also ensure the...y are on the Registry. Government uses this information to make decisions affecting your healthcare! Please note, if you have a physician but would rather see a physician in Crapaud (perhaps you have moved and your physician is a long distance away, perhaps your physician operates his practice as a walk-in and you have to wait for hours to see him) you may still put your name on the Registry. Not a bad article, but the heading is misleading we think it would be relatively easy to recruit a physician to Crapaud. We are not certain Health PEI is committed to the task. Our work continues! We also are concerned about Health PEI's new direction which is to support facilities with a minimum of 4-5 physicians under one roof. What will this do to rural PEI?

So many South Shore area residents came to the Legislature today to support the Women's Institute petition for local healthcare that some had to be sent to the overflow building! 1371 names signed. We petition the legislative assembly as follows: To support the immediate implementation of two full-time nurse practitioners working in collaboration with one full time family physician at the Crapaud location.
