South Shore Sledge Sharks

This week I had the honour of receiving the Jean Lane Award on behalf of Events Lunenburg County and the Lunenburg County Lifestyle Centre. The Jean Lane Award... recognizes organizations for going above and beyond to help promote female Para Hockey in Canada. It was our pleasure to have the team here in 2019 and we look forward to having them back. There are lots of people to thank but I would like to make note of a few. The South Shore Para Lumberjacks Association for supporting or efforts Events Lunenburg County for helping to bring things together The Lunenburg County Lifestyle Centre for being an awesome facility The Para hockey players I invited from around Nova Scotia that came together to form a team for the exhibition game Special note to our friend Jacob Leblanc who came from New Brunswick Hockey Nova Scotia who helped with officials and the coaches clinic The Bayview School who welcomed the team to their school The community at large that opened their arms to welcome the team, and Mayor Bolivar-Getson who helped with all game operations during the two games. #hockeynovascotia Stephen Deveaux Ueli Albert Paul Tingley #sportnovasvotia #lclc

Super great to see 4 of our ladies join the Halifax Sledge Grinders and play in the Halifax tournament. Great job and great experience for our girls.
