Guest Vince, January 2021 Where do I even begin? This stay was above and beyond anything I could have expected. This [Spahaus] feels and is so lux, the thoughtful touches throughout and its minimalist style are to die for, and it genuinely feels like staying in one's own little slice of paradise and second home. I've never felt this "at home" in an Airbnb before, and had countless friends and family reach out on Insta after seeing my posts of the home to ask for the listing... because of how beautiful it is. It has universal appeal, for sure! Though beautiful, the photos of the home don't do the space justice - the main floor with kitchen, dining room, living room and day bed is more spacious than I expected, and there's nothing like living in this listing - book now! The heated floors, local recommendations, and incredible hot tub were very much enjoyed, as well. I also want to note that Brad Hernden and Shawn are some of the most communicative, kind, and lovely hosts I've had the pleasure of staying with. They were quick to respond, flexible with check-in time, and are just a joy. So happy to have them as a part of this Airbnb Hosting community, and I'm already planning my next stay. Thanks again for everything! www.spahaus7.com

We are posting an update outlining new COVID-19 restrictions that were announced January 6 by the Province of Quebec and today by the Province of Ontario. Our region (the Laurentians) continues to be a place of solitude for our guests where skiing, hiking, snowshoeing, skating, snowmobiling, ice fishing, as well as leisurely walks remain available and are encouraged for single family households. More importantly, our vacation home has all of the amenities for your ultimate ...comfort including a private outdoor spa, a cozy indoor fireplace, games, and access to local trails. When you stay with us, you are as protected from the outside world as you choose. See attached photos. Our guests frequently tell to us how comforting it is to spend time in the privacy and protection of our chalet, sitting on its own forested property. Our housekeeping procedures always include a complete disinfection of surfaces and linens with approved products; cleaners who wear gloves while working; and our private spa supervised, maintained, cleaned and balanced between rentals with high-grade chemicals. Our chalet, located in the Laurentians (Laurentides), can host up to 6 persons (maximum 4 adults). Government orders or laws, especially those that speak to the number of guests inside or outside the house, must be strictly followed. From January 9 until February 8 (possibly longer), a curfew from 8pm to 5am requires all residents in Quebec to remain in their house. Grocery stores close by 7:30 pm though pharmacies and gas stations remain open throughout the night. Our experience suggests it’s actually comforting to cozy up and go nowhere at night. Yes, we have Netflix and Amazon Prime Related to this, the following measures are in place until future notice: accommodation rentals remain open - there are no be roadblocks to our chalet; individual outdoor activities remain open and can be enjoyed with members of your household bubble; restaurants continue to offer takeout though indoor dining remain closed. As indicated in our house rules, we do require our guests to strictly follow any government orders. If you have any further questions for us, direct message us. www.spahaus7.com. Warmest regards, Shawn and Brad

Good morning, Our chalet is in the Laurentians, an area currently identified as orange on the Quebec Map of COVID-19 alert levels by region. We can continue to host a maximum of 6 guests in our home, inter-regional travel is still allowed, and restaurants and bars remain open with some restrictions. Lodgings within those zones currently identified as red, including Montreal and surrounding area, Quebec City, Chaudière-Appalaches, can continue to host guests from the same fam...ily, though restaurants, bars and other activities, will close indoor activities as of October 1. It has been very quiet up at Lac-Supérieur with less people around than even a few weeks ago. We feel incredibly safe at our chalet and continue to respect the protocols of wearing face coverings when indoors, washing hands frequently and limiting social interactions. Our cancellation policy flows from our reservation platforms. In the event that we cannot host you, or you cannot make it to our chalet due to COVID-19 related road closures - preventing all access to our chalet - we will work with you to issue a credit or refund for the reservation. Otherwise, the original cancellation policy will remain in effect. We’re hopeful none of this will happen in our region, but we want to keep our rental friends in the loop. We will continue to provide information should any protocols or restrictions change that may impact our ability to host you in the beautiful Laurentians. If you’re looking to escape and stay at our vacation chalet, private message us or visit www.spahaus7.com. In the meantime, stay safe and healthy. Shawn and Brad p.s. Our attached photos were taken just last week. The fall colours have been spectacular this year.

One of the best Airbnb experiences we've had. If you are looking for clean, organized and breathtaking style, this is your place! Everything we could have needed for our 4-night stay was available; from the kitchen, to the bedrooms and the bathrooms. We did not want to leave. The facilities are also a plus as our boys were able to play ping pong and fooz ball in the kids club, when not on the ski hill, which gave us parents time to relax in the wonderful hot tub. Thank you Shawn and Brad for an amazing experience! Samantha and David, March 2020

We always want our house guests to have multiple memorable experiences. One of our favorite places to visit is Parc national du Mont Tremblant. Being the largest and oldest park in the network, it hosts over 400 lakes and streams, hiking and climbing trails with incredible lookouts, and a wilderness so vast that it is home to 40 mammal species, including the wolf. Our Scandinavian chalet is a short 10 minute drive from the park’s climbing trails, and/or a 20-minute scenic dri...ve to the main sector of the park where the Discovery Centre (headquarters and info) sits. Sépaq Here are some of the memories we’ve put into the bank while in the park. Spend the winter with us. www.spahaus7.com.
