UPDATE COVID 19 After careful consideration, the organizers of the Sp’akw’us Events have made the difficult decision to cancel the events for the 2020 season. This decision came after we considered the pros and cons of simply asking our participants to wait and see. We know the energy and commitment that many put into training for these events, requiring preparation weeks/months in advance. ... In a period of time when our health care system is stretched, and all communities are asking individuals to self-isolate, we believe it's best to avoid placing our participants in a position to train, potentially adding stress to our health care system, or stressing participants as they look to train for an event while balancing staying safe, and exercising social distancing. We also have many international participants who travel to our community to participate and there will likely continue to be many unknowns surrounding international travel. To ensure that this event continues to provide our participants with an amazing experience, we have decided to cancel the event for 2020, and we look forward to seeing you all again in 2021. Please be patient with us as we work through refunds for 2020 registrants.

Registration for the June 20/21 2020 Spakwus Events Mountain Bike XC Marathon Races is now open. It's safe to say that people really enjoy Squamish events.

Registration for the Sp'akw'us 2020 event, taking place June 20th and 21st, will open 6:00 pm PST on Friday, January 17th, 2020. Details are slowly being loaded onto our website at www.spakwus50.com. As a 100% percent volunteer run Squamish event, please be patient with our volunteer IT team. While most of the info on the website is up to date, we're still working out some of the registration link kinks but expect the links to be fully up to date in the next 48 hours.

Fabulous day for the Sp'akw'us 50. Sp'akw'us 35 is tomorrow and is looking equally as stellar. We've had 2 sets of sweeps out there today picking up Sp'akw'us 50 (blue) markings and debris. We know no system is perfect so if you happen to be on the Sp'akw'us 50 course (or on ANY trail today/tomorrow) and you find/pick up any garbage, gel packs, water bottles and bring them down to the Executive Inn and Suites tomorrow, Sunday June 16th, 2019 we'll be happy to set you up with some cool sunglasses and a T-shirt. Ask for Renee

Have a bike?? We're encouraging racers and visitors to keep the event grounds tidy and use the bike check!! As with previous years, kids (and parents) from our local minor hockey association are on hand to oversee the bike check. For Sp'akw'us racers you can check your bike for FREE and Sp'akw'us events will donate $2 per bike on your behalf. For those who aren't registered, dig through those piggy banks as you can use the bike check by donation!! ... Looking forward to enjoying some great sunshine, great views and great friends!
