Last night our Christmas drive was very festive with all the lights we got to see while driving through our town of Sparwood. We felt like we visited scenes fr...om a Hallmark movie to old trucks perfectly decorated, trees that were lit larger than life. We came across amazing craftsmanship, which would have taken hours to build and set up. Thank you to Falcon court, everyone’s house was decorated. Please take the time and drive around Sparwood to see a community that is making our town so festive and bright! The Sparwood Future’s Society Scholarship $1,500 CRITERIA: Grade 12 student going to a post-secondary institution in Fall of the year or Spring of the following year. Must be attending Sparwood Secondary School, the Fernie Academy or taking online schooling and be a Sparwood area resident.... APPLICATION o Write an essay on the program you are going to go into and how the scholarship will benefit you. o Outline what program you intend to pursue. o Provide a resume of volunteer and community work. o Provide three references, preferably one personal, one employment and one volunteer. o Provide, if possible, evidence of grades from the past year, or any other information such as being listed on the Honour Roll, etc. If you are selected as the successful candidate, to receive funds you must provide a copy of the letter of acceptance from the post-secondary institution.
