Hey Friends! Sorry I didn’t get the name of the plants out today! It was the busiest day I have ever had in any of my clinics! I promise we will post the winners tomorrow. I’ll get my awesome staff to help me out. Have great evening of vegetative anticipation.

Only 1 more week left in the great botanical naming spectacle of 2020. You have probably heard local celebrities like Hal from down the street raving about the magnitude of this prestigious contest. We have received some truly original and ingenious names thus far like Kyle. So wait no more, you too could have the honour of eternal fame by naming these beautiful plants. All you have to do is like and share Spectrum Medical or Spectrum Phototherapy's page (or both) and type your suggested name below a picture of the plants. Encourage your friends and family to vote for your names as each like for your name will give you another entry in the draw. It's like reverse hunger games in here! May the odds be ever in your favour!

We have some new art in the clinic! These two pieces by local artist Hubert Van Drummelen look right at home. Thank you to Brian and Jan Joneson for the generous donation! Spectrum Medical is offering the chance of a lifetime! If you like and share our page you can have a chance to name one of our office plants from Minter Country Garden. The first plant is an umbrella tree, I'm not sure what the second is, maybe a pokey purple palm, and the last is a corn tree or something of the sort. Enter your suggested name under each trees' picture. Names with additional like will get extra entries in the draw. Remember these are the names these plants will have the rest of their lives, so no explicit or inappropriate entries! The winning names will be inscribed on custom placards for each plant, which is basically akin to a birth certificate in the plant world.

Signs arrived today! I see my first patients in clinic tomorrow and we open to the general public in 2 days. Many thanks to those who have helped! It was nice to connect with some old friends. Calvin Muxlow and his team from @AcademyPlusPainting got the place in shape with a new coat of paint courtesy of Benjamin Moore. Jurie Van Aswegan from @SuperiorSigns in Poco created some amazing signage. Jared from Berts Electric got the wiring set up for the light therapy machine and the Daniels family moved the machine from its old space. Thanks everyone I look forward to helping patients in this new space!

What a weekend! Tables and plants arrived (I'm thinking we should have a naming contest for the plants). Computers are up and running the new electronic medical record system (can you believe the previous tenants used paper charting!) and our phones are operational. Also a huge thanks to the whole team of movers and electricians who installed the narrow band UVB light therapy unit! See you all soon!
