LOGO COMPETITION EXTENDED! While we are unable to host Spectrum Festival this year, we are still holding a NEW LOGO competition! We have extended the deadline to March 30, 2021! Yup! A whole year to create and submit your entries! Spectrum Festival challenges all senior (Grade 12) students, and post secondary students registered in classes between Sept. 2019 and 2021, in Medicine Hat and Cypress County, to create a new logo that will be used exclusively to represent Spectr...um Festival. THE WINNER will be awarded a $1000 tuition scholarship, proudly sponsored by Petersen Accounting and Alberta Wide Virtual Accounting ! With Spectrum scheduled to be held just 2 short months from now, it has become increasingly evident that, given the prevailing environment, it will not be possible to plan for, and responsibly provide, a safe and successful event. For the past few weeks, the Spectrum Festival organizing committee has been closely monitoring the evolving coronavirus pandemic, along with the recommendations, orders, and forecasts ... from public health organizations and governmental agencies. It is with heavy hearts that we announce that we are forced to make the difficult decision to cancel Spectrum Festival 2020. We certainly look forward to a sharing with you a bigger and better than ever Sunshine Celebration next year, as we will now celebrate our 30th Anniversary in 2021.
