I wondered what would happen to people with Covid-19 symptoms once some travel restrictions lifted. Now I know. After reading this I now wonder who’s paying for the hotel, food and medical? Many travel insurance companies have also reported zero coverage for people who choose to travel during the pandemic. ... Regardless, I think the last place anyone wants to be if infected is an a foreign country. I also think about the impact this would have on a VIP Operation and the supporting staff. What if the VIP is sick? What if a Close Protection agent or other staff member has symptoms but the VIP doesn’t? What responsibilities and duty of care have been addressed by any employers involved. Another example of some of the threats faced by many holding public office. Unfortunately some in the position of city councillor may not have a robust protection capability to deal with these threats.
