From The City of Airdrie Are we in false spring or second winter? Either way its about to get melty!... Did you know? The devices in our storm drains slow down the water drainage process, so our stormwater system doesn't get overloaded. There's a few ways that you can help out: -Clear snow away from your foundation and window wells -Make sure your furnace and exhaust vents are clear of ice and snow -Clean eavestroughs -Position downspouts away from your house - at least six feet from your foundation -Clear snow/debris away from your storm drain -Clear a trench along the curb -Ensure gutters and swales are clear of snow, slush and debris -Remove snow/debris piled along the curb that is blocking drainage For more info. visit www.airdrie.ca/springmelt
