The hockey world suffered a great loss this week with the passing of Hall of Fame Hockey Forward Dale Hawerchuk. The Number 1 pick in the 81 draft to the Winnipeg Jets, he also played for the Flyers, Blues, and Sabres in his illustrious career. Most notably, one of the heros for the 1987 Canada Cup where he won a very important defensive zone faceoff to send Gretzky and Lemieux down the ice to break the tie, giving Canada the 6-5 victory with under 2 minutes to play. A Manitoba legend, a Canadian hero and a humble man as described by his peers. Thanks for the great memories and our deepest condolences to his family and friends.
