It is with a barn full of heavy hearts we share the passing of Bastille. At home, Lorin was our resident Labrador Retriever - he ate everything in sight, loved to be outside, and was always so happy to see you. In fact, we don’t think Lorin knew how to pin his ears; being grumpy or unhappy was not in his genetic makeup. Lorin had a beautiful way of going. With his effortless jump and bold type, he always had you on the edge of your seat while he was in the show ring. When r...iding him, he made you feel confident and invincible, no obstacle was too great. He always gave you 150%. To top it all off, he was beautiful and striking from any angle. He truly was one in a million. We our going to miss our Brown Dog so incredibly much; we are heartbroken at his loss. We find peace knowing that him and Dot have been reunited, and are patiently waiting for us to join them. Lorin - may you rest peacefully and enjoy all the treats that horse heaven has to offer. As the 2019 show season has come to an end Team Sperabo would again like to thank everybody who made this show season possible. Thank you of course to our amazing trainer Justine Annandale for being with us right up until the day before baby Koen arrived, and coming out to the shows to support us. Thank you to Donna Wnuk and Claudia Cojocar for stepping in and helping. Thank you to John French for all the amazing work he did with Bastille and Campari. And thank you to the ama...zing Team Sperabo for always being supportive and making this show season so much fun! Special thanks to Chase and Steph for stepping up to make sure the barn side of things ran smoothly. Drew and Lord Lupin received an 7th in the Adult Amateur Hunter 18 to 35 30 $200 Stake, as well the pair had many great rounds this week and improved so much! Anita and Campari received a 1st and a 2nd in the Long Stirrup Hunter 2’3. They also got 2nd in the $300 Short/LongStirrup Hunter Classic. Molly K is a 2009 16.2hh cwb 3’ 3-ring horse with the potential to move up. She is kind and forgiving, with a big step and smooth jump. Molly trailers well, is calm in new settings, and regularly goes for hacks on the dyke by herself. There is no spook, and she is suitable for a junior or amateur with some experience. Justine rode Alvarez in his very first dressage show ever at Southlands this weekend. They scored 73.4% in the Training Level Test 3 class and were awarded the class high point score! Hi Stella. Great first show for Team Sperabo! Congrats to Natalie and Bastille on their 1st in the 400$ JR/AO 33&36 Hunter Classic. We had many new pairs competing this week! Justine and Alvarez started in the .75s and moved up to the .85s where they received an 8th. Lord Lupin and Drew received a 2nd in the Ariat Adult Medal 30, which is a great start for their first show together. Stephanie took her new horse Molly K to her first show ever where they competed in the Hunters and Jum...pers, this pair received an 7th in the Large Working Hunter 30. Anita’s new horse Campari and Justine got a 1st in the Baby Green Hunter 26 to start of their show career. And finally Yuli and Winston had a great week getting a 3rd in the Children Hunter 14& Under, as well as an 8th in the 200$ Stake Classic. What a great week for Team Sperabo! Congratulations to Zoe for getting champion and reserve champion multiple times this week! Also congratulations to Chase for getting 1st in the CET mini medal, as well as Stella for getting 4th in her first ever mini medal. Carlos and Anita did great in the Hunter derby getting then a beautiful 7th, they also had a bunch of great rounds this week. Winston brought in a bunch of red and blue ribbons in this week for team Sperabo. Emily and Lolita had a great show for the first time in a long time, they truly improved throughout this week. Last but not least Raffi and Jess dabbled in both the Hunter and Jumper ring and has some truly great rounds! Thank you to everybody for helping us out this week! We truly wouldn't have survived without our lovely groom Jess and our wonderful trainer lady Justine!
