Hi there everyone!! It's been a hot minute since I have shown my face around here, so I figured it's time for an updated reintroduction to myself and what I have been up to this past crazy year!! So for those that don't know me my name is Sheri Reimer and I own Spirited Soul Birth Services I am a Registered Massage Therapist going on 15yrs a Certified Infant Massage Instructor for the last 4 yrs, Certified Birth Doula with DONA International and certifying postpartum d...oula with DONA International! I have attended and supported all sorts of births the last 9years working alongside our great Midwives, OB's and family Drs as well as our fantastic nurses at our local hospital and at clients homes. I am passionate about all things pregnancy, birth and postpartum related. I have a potty mouth (those who know me know ) and I have to almost always give a disclaimer to anyone new meeting me and apologize in advance for what may slip out! I am honest about anything you ask me, will give you the glorious and not so glorious details in relation to labour, birth and postpartum. I will be your biggest cheerleader in helping you and your partner be the best you can be to support one another and be a family unit. Nothing is tmi or off topic when it comes to conversing with me in fact if you have had me as a doula or taken my Labour of Love comfort measures class chances are I have had some interesting convos with you and your partner in regards to getting that bebe earthside!! Oh my gosh yes!!! Can we talk about this?? The worst feeling ever is when you know something's wrong but you don't reach out, until you do and you get dismissed. Your postpartum feelings are valid, your baby matters BUT SO DO YOU!!! Let's normalize postpartum mood disorders and get the conversations going.. Share and process your birth story, allow visitors over if they bring you food or do something for you, hire a postpartum doula, speak with a professional. Please think of your postpartum period as one of the most important stages of your journey because IT IS!! It's one of the most rawest forms of yourself you will ever bear witness to, and all of us could benefit from some kind of help postpartum

Did you know... Amniotic fluid is generated from maternal plasma and passes through the fetal membrane by osmotic and hydrostatic forces. ... Your baby’s kidneys start to function around the 16th week of pregnancy and his/her urine starts to contribute to the fluid as well. The fluid is made up of water, electrolytes, proteins, carbohydrates, lipids, phospholipids and urea, which all aid in the development of your baby.
