Looking for snow clearing options for this winter. Snowmageddon ate our budget for snow clearing from probably 2-3 years. Is there anyone who would like to donate snow clearing to us so that we are able to keep our services going consistently and safely during covid for this winter?

What is #GivingTuesday? Most people know about Black Friday and Cyber Monday now we have GivingTuesday, December 1, 2020. It is a new global movement for giving and volunteering, taking place each year after Black Friday. The Opening day of the giving season, it’s a time when charities, companies and individuals join together and rally for favourite causes. In the same way that retailers take part in Black Friday, the giving community has come together for GivingTuesday. Please consider giving to Spirit Horse - Stable Life to help us give the gift of good mental health. You can donate to us by emt at [email protected]

We have decided to cancel this event as it is usually a large gathering and with increased covid cases recently we don’t want to take any chances. We want to wish everyone a safe holiday season full of hope and love.

An update from Lisa - After communication with SickKids, Jake’s team had him seen today at the adult pacemaker clinic, to test a programming suggestion made by ...SickKids, particularly in light of the current Covid situation in Toronto and the risks Covid may pose to a child with Jake’s anatomy. It was a say a prayer, hope this works scenario, and it did work. What that means, is that we have bought Jake some time he still needs to have the lead replaced in the near future, but now we are hopeful it won’t be before Christmas and possibly not while Toronto is in a Covid lockdown. For those who are interested in the technical part Jake has two bipolar leads, meaning each lead contains two wires. Of the four wires, one is broken. Today’s programming effectively reversed the polarity of the atrial lead with the hope that it could pace on its own and it did. This should address Jake’s current issues of eye puffiness because of back pressure placed on his fenestration, increase his energy levels again and give him more potential exercise output capacity. Jake will have a holter monitor test soon, and his echo/ekg appointments will be moved up to keep a closer eye on things. Barring anything else going wrong, it looks like our family will be spending Christmas at home after all, for which we are beyond thankful. The outpouring of love and support from our community, and even strangers, has once again been immediate and real. Thanks to that, we have an account set aside with funds that will cover a huge chunk of the cost of this trip, and there is absolutely no way to ever say thank you in an way that would communicate the depth of emotion needed. So, thank you. Keep praying. This is our Christmas miracle. See more

It was a stormy, wet and windy day. After some playtime in the snow this morning all the horses came in and got their coolers on to dry off and get warm.
