A few opening day reminders for families outside of the mandatory requirements: 1) We are excited to see you and can't wait to get our school year started -- Staggered start times were sent to you via emails. See you either Sept 8th or Sept 9th. 2) Remember to bring extra snacks and a filled water bottle as we do not have vending machines at this time. 3) Microwaves are available for lunch time only and food must be in a microwavable container. Non-microwavable lunches are encouraged for the first few days to speed up the time to warm up food. See you soon!!
We will be having registration days for school on Thursday, Sept 3rd and Friday, Sept 4th for any students who are currently not registered for school and classes. This year, all students must be preregistered (we will not be taking walk-ins until after September 15th this year and we encourage you to register online before arriving). Or, you are still welcome to do this process online - register and/or select classes by visiting our school website. Please contact us for any additional information or assistance you may need.
Staggered start dates were emailed out to families yesterday. Please check your emails for that information. If you have not received one, please contact the school.
As we are preparing for back to school, can you please check for textbooks that may have ended up at your home from last year. If you notice some, please drop them off at the school in the next week. Office staff are here regular school hours. Thank you for checking!
Good afternoon SHS families! We hope this message finds you doing well and staying healthy in these remaining weeks of summer. We have been working very hard to plan a safe return for students to kick off the 2020-2021 school year. Please find attached our plan, that follows the guidelines set out by the province and the school division. Please note that we will be starting classes on Tuesday, September 8th with roughly half of our student body, and with the other half o...f our students on Wednesday, September 9th. This staggered start time will ensure a smooth, safe beginning to the year, and having smaller numbers will allow us to get to know each other if your child is new to our school and/or reacquaint ourselves after a five month hiatus from school. You will be informed as to which day your family will start, no later than August 28th via email. We are happy to talk to you should you have any questions at all about the attached 'SHS Return to School' plan, or about the school division's virtual learning option. Just give us a call at the school or drop us an email. Thank you in advance for your patience as we navigate this new school year together. See more
Those families who may be interested in the virtual option from Living Sky School Division, please make sure you indicate your interest in the survey in your email. If you can't find it, please let the school know, as interest must be indicated by Friday, August 21st.
Please enjoy our final edition of our Sabre News. Have a wonderful summer!
