At Superstore yesterday, snooping around like I do, and saw they have silicone heart molds for making the little hearts I have on this candle. You can make soap embeds or teenie bath bombs with them too.

Ok so I’ve added some wax berries and trimmed the wicks. The candle on the left is cran-raspberry and the one on the right is cranberry. You can see I’ve added a little ultra fine cosmetic glitter to the berries, a little is ok , a lot is not- might clog the wick.

These should be finished later today. The picture with the straw is so you can see how I place my wicks. I put a little hot glue on the wick tabs and press them on (in to?) to the jar with a straw. The picture with the box shows how you can insulate the candles if the room is cold while the wax is cooling. If the candles set too fast due to a cold environment the tops usually have a few craters.

I make my bath bombs in small batches, this is what I typically get from one batch. My star Mold is on its last legs, a few cracks here and there, but I manage to fill all three cavities twice and then make one more. Anyway what I wanted to show is how I keep them while they dry. I use parchment or waxed paper on an old cookie sheet. This goes on top of my upright freezer where it is warm and dry.

Another one of the candle holders I posted last week. I knew I wanted to put white coloured wax berries on top because of the white around the bottom. I had a wax melt that was white so I melted it and used my berry mold. Can you see the two greens in this candle? I liked the green that I filled the candle with but when I went to add the berries the green looked too bright. I melted some of the leftover wax and added a bit of red wax to darken it, then topped up the candle and placed the berries. I have just a tad of cosmetic glitter on the berries.
