Thanks to the many generous donations of Mr. Mervyn A. Red Dutton and the contributions of Springbank Community members, the Red Dutton was officially opened in 1969. More than 50 years years later the Red Dutton Arena still serves many hockey players, figure skaters, and ringette players although it looks quite different today!
