We know we should be at the show this weekend and aren’t. For now it’s for the best we are doing what we are doing. In the meantime have a watch at the promo video and dream of when we can all be together and showing our horses again. Stay safe everyone.

Hello Everyone, It’s been a bit since we last posted but we needed to make sure that everything was covered and taken care of before making the decision we knew we had to make. I’m sure it comes as no surprise that we need to cancel the show for 2020. We held out as long as we could in the hopes that it turned around but that doesn’t seem to be the case just yet. ... Anyone that has mailed in cheques with your entries, they have not been cashed. If you wish to have your cheque returned please email our Show Secretary by April 10 at [email protected], if she doesn’t hear from you she will shred your cheques after this date. If you are a vendor or sponsor that has paid already we will be contacting you on an individual basis to see what works the best for you. Thank you to everyone for your patience with us while we navigated thru these interesting times. Onward and upward. Let’s try to find the rainbows wherever we can.

Again, we will base the final decision closer to our date and will adhere to our governing bodies and their recommendations. Please see below for important Equestrian Community updates r...egarding this current situation: EQUESTRIAN EVENTS Following the recent developments and updates regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, the Alberta Equestrian Federation has made the decision to cancel equestrian-related activities effective March 16th - April 19, 2020 (subject to change as updates are provided). ***information pertaining to Arabian and Half Arabian Regional Qualifications****** The information is changing daily and we are doing our best to stay on top of all the latest developments. Our final decision on the show will be made the week of April 6. AHA has made a ruling on their March 14,2020 letter that if your entries are in for a show and the show has to be cancelled you will be automatically qualified for Regionals. They must be in and entered as we will need to ...provide AHA verification of the entries. (Although this letter states USEF it also applies to EC shows, this information was confirmed with AHA) There was also a ruling that the new 2020 points system will not be used this year and instead they will use the 2019 points system for qualifications. (Confirmed with AHA) If by chance your entries are in and the show is a go and you need to back out, the show will not charge a penalty this year. Please document what may be going on in your life/world at that time. This is just a precaution if back up is required by AHA. Easier to document at the time then remember what happened after the fact. We will continue to monitor to see what is recommended by local officials and make our decisions based on these recommendations. Should you have questions outside of this please contact your trainers.

*****UPDATE***** Our position is we are still going to wait and see where things are at in a couple weeks. We are 32 days away from the show and the recommended waiting period put out by EC and USEF. Please continue sending in entries and we will either provide refunds and/or not cash cheques. Should someone pay for their entries and decide at the last minute that they don’t want to come, we will not charge a penalty with these extenuating circumstances we are all dealing wi...th. If we can still make this happen we aren’t behind the 8 ball doing entries and anything else pertaining to the show. If this is done we could realistically wait until the last minute to make any decisions. It will be ok, let’s try to be positive. If this show is able to happen I think we will all need to get out of the house. Hello All, As of today the province has called a ban on events over 250 people. We are 35 days away from the show and at this time we do NOT plan on canceling. We will monitor the situation as we all are and make an educated decision a few weeks away from the show as to what should happen. Continue to send your entries in as usual and should the show be cancelled we will do refunds. Let’s keep our heads on our shoulders and don’t panic.

Hi Everyone, The show is fast approaching and we are planning and doing some fine tuning. We currently have 3 spots left in the Shopping Expo. Know someone that has something special to offer send them our way. ... We have a lot of areas that we use prizes in. Silent Auction, Prize Room for Random winners and Special Prizes for winners. If you or someone you know has something they would like to donate to any of these areas let us know. We have had everything in our silent auction including the kitchen sink and faucet. It’s great exposure for the products and companies that supply them and we all know everyone likes the Prize Room. Cash is always appreciated as well but we know the economic times are what they are right now. If you or anyone you know have questions please email or message us with them. As you all know we are an All Breed Horse show. When the Alberta Friesian Association asked if they could come and do a demo on Friday night we said yes. It will be just after the opening ceremonies on Friday night (April 17) before the evening session starts. Shooting for 5:30-6. Come to Calnash Ag Event Centre, watch the show, stay for the demo and check out the shopping expo in the barn down Alley 6.
