Last minute Christmas shopping?! Tomorrow (December 24), we will be open from 1-5 pm for season pass pictures, gift card and season pass purchases. Last chance before opening day! We would also like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a safe and happy (socially distant) holidays!

It’s official! Opening day will be Saturday December 26! Please note: only the south tow rope will be open for now. The terrain park will be set up for December 27. North rope, the chair lift and tubing will not yet be open. We will update as they open. Just a heads up on the new health authority guidelines as opening day approaches. We will likely be opening December 26 but will post for sure when we have a better idea. Now the new guidelines for the park: masks must be worn at all times, indoors and outdoors, as long as you are on Springhill property. That means as soon as you turn onto the driveway. The chalet is only open for use of washrooms, purchasing passes and rentals, and gear storage. Unfortunately no hanging out inside is permitted at this time. We’ve been receiving a lot of inquiries about our plans for the coming winter season so here’s what’s going on. Our plan is to open with safety measures in place. As the situation is quickly changing and the provincial rules and guidelines are also often changing, we can’t say at this time exactly what the safety guidelines for opening will be. As we approach our opening date, we will post more information on protocols for visiting Springhill. The safety of our customers, staff and community are our highest priority and we look forward to greeting you all for another fun-filled season of winter sports! Last nights snow was encouraging but it is still too early to tell when we will be open and it is still too warm to start making snow. Stay tuned for more updates and stay safe!

In addition to our last post we have decided to open for the hours above for the pickup of season passes already purchased! Again when you arrive please wait in your vehicle and contact our customer service at (204) 224-3051 so we can advise you of the proper entrance and if any wait time upon arrival. Reminder the hill is still currently closed, we have been able to make alot of snow in the past couple of days with the cold weather we’ve had recently but still not enough to be open just yet. There will be more updates to follow in terms of our opening date details as it is still weather dependent. Thank you

Springhill Winter Sports Park is hiring for the coming winter season! We are hiring for the following positions: -kitchen... -rental tech -lift operator -customer service/lift ticket counter attendant -bartender -Snowboard Instructor -Ski Instructor -Snow Maker Training is provided for all positions. Please note the following: -Lift operator and Instructor are outdoor positions. -Ski Instructors require at minimum a level 1 CSIA instructor certificate -Snowboard Instructors require at minimum a level 1 CASI instructor certificate -Applicants must be at least 16 years of age -Snowmakers must be at least 18 years of age, shifts are overnights -bartenders must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid Serving it Safe certificate, previous experience preferred -shifts are mostly evenings and weekends -We are unfortunately not accessible by bus, applicants must have their own reliable transportation -The park typically opens early to mid-December, weather permitting. Effective today, March 18th 2020 we have made the hard decision to close the hill due to the health and safety of our guests, staff and loved ones.
