We have eggs available for sale at the farm. Please message me at [email protected] for details. Stay safe everyone!
The Charlottetown Farmer's Market will be closed until further notice but you can order market products on-line at: https://mailchi.mp/maplebloomfarm/eatlocalpei This week Springwillow Farms is only selling eggs through the on-line market, but check out other vendors, as well, for a variety of PEI products. Orders for Saturday pick-up must be in tonight so don't delay!
Although the run for our happy hens looks quite different this time of year, they seem to think it's spring already. They are in full production mode! Find us at the Island Sunshine Booth at the Charlottetown Farmers Market for your fresh eggs! https://charlottetownfarmersmarket.com/?s=island+sunshine
Yesterday was jam-making day - 120 new jars of jam! Strawberry, black currant, blueberry, raspberry, gooseberry, blackberry, haskap, rhubarb, strawberry-rhubarb, mixed berry, red currant jelly and blackberry jelly - all available at the Charlottetown Farmers Market on Saturday mornings at our Island Sunshine booth. Made with just two ingredients: our own fruit (mostly organic and all pesticide-free) and organic sugar. https://charlottetownfarmersmarket.com/?s=island+sunshine
Our little greenhouse that lost its roof during Dorian has been reroofed thanks to Gary Loo for the construction, Margie Blum for the wire lock, and Ricky Loo and Quinton Schurman for helping to get the plastic on. Now along with our new bigger greenhouse constructed last summer thanks to Margie Blum, Natalie Loo and Blake Loo, we are ready for spring seeding! And after all, spring is just around the corner... Right?
Happy New Year to all our friends and family! May this year bring all of us health, joy and the means to give our best in whatever we set out to do. 2020 will see some changes at Springwillow Farms; stay tuned for updates. Some of our accomplishments in 2019 have set the stage for new directions in 2020. We achieved organic certification, built a new small greenhouse, and acquired new small-scale tilling and mowing equipment.
