It is with a very broken heart that I share the passing of my best friend and husband. Doug passed away peacefully while I held his hand at our home on Monday evening. He had courageously and bravely battled a cancer diagnosis with class and dignity just as he lived his life. Doug always had a kind word for everyone and always saw the good in people. I will miss him forever. Downtown Stoney Creek became our second home for many years. Doug loved meeting so many new faces and as the Executive Director of the Downtown BIA, for a few years, he enjoyed bringing some of the events to the community. At our annual Daddy & Daughter Fairytale Ball he delighted in his role to announce every single little princess into the Ball. I’m sure many of you will recognize his smiling face. Anyone who is interested in any of our furnishings, freezers, and many decor items .... WE WILL BE AT THE STORE SUNDAY FROM 1-5, 39 King St. E. It will be first come, first serve. Max 10 minutes in the store, and no more than 4 groups at a time. We will not be helping you move, you must be prepared to move the items yourself, and MASKS ARE MANDATORY. DEBIT/ CREDIT AND CASH! Some items have been posted on marketplace and we are just not able to answer all the inquires. We have over 300 messages in 12 hours, and I cannot keep up with responding to everyone. I will do my best, but please be patient!
