We have been working on this for a very long time and we are so excited to share it with you! We are launching a Training Academy For Teachers, Early Years E...ducators, Parents, and Grandparents. We deliver engaging, live or online training sessions, and provide a face to face experience with our highly recognized and talented instructors and special guests. Hello! If anyone has sent a member request to our "Spruce Grove Dayhomes Registered" page, and you have not been accepted, it is because we are having a technical issue with Facebook- the requests to join our page are not appearing for us. We are hoping to have this resolved soon, but if you are seeking a registered day home (licensed within the province of Alberta), or hoping to open a day home, feel free to call Parkland Family Day Home Agency @ 780 962 5919, or send us an email: [email protected]. Process Art vs. Product Art - What does it mean? Process art allows children to choose, direct, and explore so many elements of art creation. Because the emph...asis is on the child, there is no 'right' finished product - simply the joy of creating! Process art can build creativity and confidence but it can also get very messy In a classroom, process art creations are as unique as the children in the room! Product art, on the other hand, is adult directed. There is a ‘right’ finished masterpiece and the goal is for every creation to look a certain way. Product art more craft than art - handprints and footprints turned into other things, or teacher cut paper or materials assembled to look like the teacher’s example. I don't think this form of art encourages creativity, however, it can build exposure to scissors, glue, paint, and markers/crayons. It is also great for building fine motor skills and working on direction following! Children greatly benefit from exploring and experimenting with art materials. There is such joy to be found in a blank sheet of paper and paint and so much learning to be done when given free reign of materials. I think we are wise to err on the side of giving our children ample time with process art! Arts & Crafts: https://bit.ly/2TvTAeD via Learning With Hazel on Instagram: https://bit.ly/384nWgd
