Here's your Halloween reminder! Keep the chocolate away from your pets. It is toxic and they don't want to end up at the vet clinic! Chocolate contains theobrom...ine which is toxic for pets. In small amounts, chocolate may only cause vomiting or diarrhea. But if they ingest larger amounts (or dark chocolate which has higher amounts of theobromine), it can cause tremors, seizures and death. Plenty of people have stories about their pets getting into chocolate. But it is not something to laugh about, they can get very sick. Please call your vet if your pet accidentally ingests chocolate.
