This Friday is Transgender Day of Remembrance--a day to memorialize those who have lost their lives as a result of transphobia. In honour of this, we are making some changes. Stony Plain Youth Centre is committed to being a safe place for all youth. As such, we recognize that the signage for our washrooms no longer represents the inclusivity we want to model. So, this Friday we will be updating our signage to make all washrooms inclusive. Once we know better, it's our job t...o do better! Usually we would have YOU--our amazing youth-- front and centre involved with any changes, but due to the rise in COVID cases, we are sadly closed at the moment. So, we will make do by getting your input virtually. This is YOUR space and we want to hear from YOU! Have your say and vote for your favourite universal design! Comment below or send us a message with your choices. Every youth that votes will be entered in for a chance to win a $5 gift card to Shopper's Drug Mart! The Y...C Closet is such an important area within the youth centre After they get their haircut and hygiene kit we send the kids into the closet to grab a "new to them" outfit.
