2 years ago the real estate market was almost at it's peak. If you compare it to the current condition, sales are down 36% and homes are taking 37% more time to sell. It's definitely a tougher market if you're selling a residential property. Different area and home type markets have been affected in various ways but the interesting fact is that prices have been fairly steady. The average price of a home was down annually last year but this year it's up 3.5% from last year and... 1.4% from November 2016 (when the market was approaching its peak). Currently there is 2.6 months of housing supply on the market, which is consistent with last month but up 100% from last year. Average sales to listing price ration is 98% and the time it takes to sell a home on average is just under a month, which is up from previous years.
