More creations by Pauline. Pauline creates lovely flowers from dried pine-cones. She displays them alone, or as part of a larger sculpture. Pauline shows of her plan for driftwood and pine-cones combination.

Flora/Nature Cards created by Pauline. Moving to St. Anne's has never stopped Pauline from keeping busy. She carefully selects the flowers that she will use to create Flora greeting cards. She then begins to press the leaves and flowers between pages of a large book. Once the plants have reached desired texture, she designs and makes one of a kind greeting card. Pauline, you are an inspiration.

Remembering those that served in the wars. Some of the St.Anne's residents witnessed the atrocity of the Second World War. Helen was only 13, on September 1, 1939 when on her way home from school she heard the sounding of the sirens, and the roar or the German fighter jets approaching her village. She hid in the riverbank in fear and anticipation. She could see bombs dropping from the planes. A bridge close to her home was destroyed, followed by destruction of two other brid...ges in the neighbouring villages. She ran home to her fathers announcement that the war has started. The five years that followed were filled with daily fear of loss. Helen survived the war, but does not like to speak of of it. She still does not like the sounds of sirens. Helen hopes that the world can continue to live in peace, and that we will never experience the fear and anticipation of death like she has. Please feel free to share your story.

Introducing another artist from St. Anne's. Pauline is a self thought artist, who enjoys working with natural products. Over the years Pauline created breathtaking dried leaf paintings, sculptures using natural and recycled materials, greeting cards with dried flowers, and many more unique creations many of which adorn walls of St. Anne's.

Happy Seniors Week to all the seniors living at St. Anne's. We are looking forward to many interesting activities, and celebrating senior's life experiences and contributions.

What is success. This is how residents' at St. Anne's see it.

Never be to far away, to visit with your loved one. St. Anne's is setting up to connect residents with their families through Skype. At resident, or at their family request, a video visit can be set up. Time of video-visit can be determined in advance, or with only few minutes of notice by phone. Resident's will visit in the privacy of the office.This feature will be available August 1, 2016.
