2021 ATHENA Scholarship Fund Applications Now Available What is honoured in a country will be cultivated there. Plato The ATHENA Scholarship Fund (Windsor) i...s proud to announce that applications are now being received for its 2021 ATHENA Scholarship Program. Forms are also available at www.WindsorEssexChamber.org/Athena or www.AthenaScholarshipWindsor.com. Applicants must meet the following criteria: Be between the ages of 18 and 30 years as of January 1, 2021 Be presently enrolled full time (attending primarily during the day) in a college or university Have spent a significant and substantial period of time (at least 18 months as of April 1, 2021) in Windsor/Essex County. Students may be male or female and must demonstrate academic excellence, community involvement and engagement in leadership activities. Most importantly, they must have increased the leadership opportunities for women by mentoring, role-modelling and leading activities to help women reach their full potential. Four scholarships of $5,000 each will be awarded as follows: One to a St. Clair College student One to a University of Windsor student One to a student who is attending any college or university provided he/she has spent a significant period of time in Windsor/Essex County (see above) One to a University of Windsor Faculty of Law Student The submission deadline is Friday, April 30, 2021, 4:00 p.m. A note regarding this year’s ATHENA Scholarship Fund Luncheon: Out of an abundance of caution, the 2020 ATHENA Scholarship Luncheon was postponed and will be held in combination with the 2021 luncheon on Thursday, November 18, 2021, at St. Clair College Centre for the Arts. The 2020 and 2021 recipients, along with their families and guests, will be invited to join and be recognized at the 2021 luncheon. University of Windsor Chancellor Mary Jo Haddad is confirmed as the 2020/2021 guest speaker.

This year, with Covid-19 affecting every aspect of our ...lives, Canadians and individuals worldwide are feeling the impact of the pandemic on their mental health. Bell Let’s Talk promotes awareness and action with a strategy. Recognizing the stressors, being there for a loved one, and selfcare can help support mental health. If you or a loved one are struggling, help is available. You are not alone. Today Bell will donate towards mental health initiatives in Canada by donating 5 cents for every applicable text, call, tweet, or TikTok video using #BellLetsTalk, social media video view, and use of the Facebook frame or Snapchat filter. Let’s work together on moving mental health forward in Canada. End the Stigma!
