RETURN TO CHURCH Dear Beloved Parishioners, I pray that you and your loved ones are safe and healthy during this most challenging time. Know that you have been close in prayer during daily Mass. We also pray for the sick, those who have been called home to the Lord and our front-line health care and essential workers....Continue reading

St. Cornelius, Silvercreek 19.10.2020

Dear Beloved Parishioners, !!Alleluia!! We are opening!! I am so grateful to God that I will be able to see you all again. I hope and pray that everyone remains safe and that we get to share the wonderful gift of our parish family by being together again, even if it is 6 feet apart. Hope to see you soon!!... Church will be open Sunday morning June 14: St. Cornelius: 8:15 am - 9:30 am for private prayer with Deacon Bruce Stewart I have to apologize, we didn’t expect the church to be open so soon, so I haven’t finished the handicap parking places in front of the church. You can drive and park at the front, but it doesn’t have the nice white pretty gravel that we are going to finish it with. We have to let the fill material settle which may take a week or two. St. John: 8:30 am 1 pm for private prayer with Fr. Bob/Deacon Silverio Fidalgo Weekday Masses will begin at St. John: Wednesday June 17 - 8:30 am & 7 pm - Seating capacity is 60 Thursday June 18 - 8:30 am & 7 pm - Seating capacity is 60 Friday June 19 - 8:30 am & 7 pm - Seating capacity is 60 Next weekend we will have Mass at our regular scheduled times. Guideline for returning to Mass will be sent out separately. Keep in mind the seating capacity at St. Cornelius is 40 and St. John’s is 60. If anyone feels concerned about entering the church, but would like to remain and hear Mass, we are putting speakers outside at both Churches. We will find a way to serve people in their cars. We also have 10 picnic benches 6 feet apart in front of the cemetery monument at St. John’s, with 2 short comings. 1 you need a wind breaker or jacket in case it’s windy 2 you may need sunscreen because you will be getting a tan, while Mass is going on (for sun lovers it will be a win-win, haha) We have had a little bit of a wild ride with everything closed, gloves, masks, 6 foot distancing, and a little frustration with the new norm. However, we live in historical times and years from now when we are able to laugh, no one will believe us when we tell them what happened. Here’s hoping that day comes soon. Thanks, God Bless Fr. Bob
